About Me:
- Born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado where I attended high school
and college
- Graduated in 1993 with a B.S. in chemistry
- Held lab technician position at Pueblo Landfill at a methane
conversion plant using the Fishcher-Tropsch process
- Chemist at Eltech Analytical Laboratories for a year
- Laboratory coordinator at Colorado State University
- Pueblo Chemistry Department from 1994 to 2002
- During this time, I also completed my MS in Applied Natural
Science as well as MBA degrees
- Attended graduate school at Colorado State University
in Fort Collins working under Dr. Bruce
Parkinson towards the synthesis and characterization of layered
transition metal dichalcogenide nanotubes and nanowires
- Received my PhD in analytical chemistry in January, 2008
- Started working with Dr. Zach mid-January, 2008
- Oversee and assist with the undergraduate students performing
research in the Zach group
- Enjoy working with students in trying to accomplish their
research goals at an undergraduate university
- When I'm not in the lab, I enjoy hiking, running, and spending
time with my girlfriend and our two dogs
